Will grantees retain their copyright when sharing their work through Open Access means?

• The foundation’s 2025 policy refresh will continue to include the Plan S guidance that authors (or their organizations) must retain sufficient copyright to comply with their Open Access requirements.  
• We will ensure funding contracts or agreements outline that authors must retain copyright as well as the rights that are necessary to make a version immediately available under an open license.
